
There is a foundational journey behind all the hard and soft skills and technology that leads to a student’s first big job. To land the job or find that next opportunity, networking and relationships with peers and mentors play an important part.
Each semester, the Center for Computational Finance and Economic Systems (CoFES) hosts several guest lectures where students learn from employers in the financial services sector and researchers specializing in statistical analysis, quantitative finance, investment banking and private equity, insurance risk management, AI and systematic investing.

For over two decades, CoFES has collaborated with many academic and industry partners to develop prominent research pipelines and provide students with simulated training environments, internship opportunities, and real-world projects where they can apply their computational, statistical and mathematical techniques to understand the health of an economy and its market environments.
